Oct 31,2019·Re What laser power to cut 1~1.5mm stainless steel ? « Reply #1 on October 31,2019,04:08:38 pm IIRC,the wavelength of fiber lasers (~1um) is better absorbed by most stainless steel alloys,but CO2 lasers produce a higher quality beam that can produce a smaller spot size despite having a 10x longer wavelength.
